Look at this place!!

What a wonderful world!

 Our bedroom!

It even has a 'Master Bedroom!

AMAZING!

Our new home!

We were warmly welcomed into our new home by our landlords and then we were shown around the 'cottage'.

We were also greeted by two chipmunks!

Meet:
(Emily's) Chester

And (Lizzy's) Gus!
Chester and Gus have been saving up for winter, and we have helped then, by giving them raspberries and special chipmunk food!
We might even have been feeding them a bit to much! I am writing a creative non-fictional story about Chester- which you will probably be seeing by the end of the week!

 The Beginning!!

The Beginning!

Our adventure started off with us driving for 7-8 hours and arriving in Auckland. The next day, we drove to the Auckland Airport, checked in, and waited for four hours. In that time, we: ate dinner, (sushi, YUM) talked, said our goodbyes, and finished our final packing. FINALLY, it was time for us to board the plane. As i made my way to the entrance to the door, my mind was swarming with worries, thoughts, feelings. 'Im going! YAY!' 'I'm leaving :-(' 'I'll have a Great time!' 'I'm going to have a terrible time' etc etc.

13 hour flight. Hmm. I slept for over 5-6 hours of it (which is pretty good, considering I was traveling in Economy Class and the seats were MAJORLY uncomfortable) when I was awake, I I would watch some movies, have dinner, listen to music, think thoughts - as you do. I felt the plane wheels touch ground! We had landed in LA!!

Soon after we landed, we went through customs. UGH!!! Man, now that was torture, but don't get me started on that!

 My Family!!!

MUM!

This is Lisa Emerson, my mum. She works at Massey University and has been teaching there for 22 years! Late last year, mum applied for a scholarship to go to America for 4 1/2 months. After a lot of interviews and hard work, she was picked to go to Vermont in the USA! Mum is kind, caring, fun, and generous, everything an AMAZING mother is.

I love you so much mum! I am so proud of you and i'm so glad, you're in my life. xxx
Dad!

This is my dad! He is 21 years of age (he wishes) and he likes to sing (not) dance (not) and lots of others things! He loves horticulture (growing plants) and he loves his farm, and his family. He grew up on a farm in Pukekohe and he can grow ANYTHING! He runs his own business, creating websites for other companies.

I love you dad and I am so lucky to have you in my life! xxx

Lizzy is my 10 year old baby sistah! She plays the piano and guitar and likes to: sing and dance, but mostly... ANNOY HER BIG SISTER; ME!
She is VERY annoying and loud but is fun to have around.
So glad to have you in my life Lizbuff.

Rose!

This is my 25 year old sistah, Rose, otherwise known as, Rosie or Rosie-Posie. Rose has been living in Manchester, England for the past year and a half. She is enjoying it there (I hope) but I want her to come home! Rosie's birthday is coming up on the 19th of August so wish her a Happy Birthday!! xxx

Love you and miss you heaps Darling Rose, and so glad to have you in my life! xxxx
Ed!

My 27 year old brother Edward, otherwise known as Eddie, Ed  Edweirdo, or an undiscovered species of hippo (according to Lizzy) has very recently traveled around Europe with his girlfriend Anna. He plays the Saxophone and the Clarinet. He is a lot of fun to tease and he is good at teasing us, but he is GREAT to have around!

I'm so glad I have you in my life Edweirdo.
